The
Fundación de Apoyo y
Vigilancia Pro-Mejoramiento
Hospital San Lorenzo is a
nonprofit organization
dedicated to raise funds to
rebuild and improve the
administration and
infrastructure of the San
Lorenzo Public Hospital,
located in the port of San
Lorenzo, Valle, southern
region of Honduras. Also, we
unify our efforts to acquire
donations of medical
equipment and direct many of
the donations to the
training of the staff in
order to improve the quality
of service offered to users
thereby ensuring a more
humane and professional
service.
The Fundación de Apoyo y
Vigilancia Pro-Mejoramiento
Hospital San Lorenzo was
legally constituted in April
27, 2007 prior to this date
it functioned as a support
committee.
In that same year, when the
successful businesswoman
Pamela Molina Sierra Cerrato
took over as Executive
Director of the Organization,
there has been a radical and
tangible change in the
achievement of the proposed
goals, implementing them has
been characterized by
rapidness and efficiency.
Since then and thanks to the
collaboration of public and
private donors, successful
fundraising marathons, among
other activities, we have
managed the rebuilding and
reconstruction of almost all
areas where patients are
treated, however there are
still important areas that
need improvement to reach
our purpose, that is to make
the San Lorenzo Public
Hospital the best public
hospital in the country.
